CVE-2026-106116 1 Sixlabors 1 Imagesharp 2026-10-24 5.3 Medium
ImageSharp is a 2D graphics library. From 2.0.0 until 4.1.2, ExifReader.ReadValues64 trusts the 64-bit BigTIFF IFD entry count and iterates once per declared entry. When fewer than 20 bytes remain, ExifReader.ReadValue64 returns without advancing the stream or terminating the outer loop, so a small malformed BigTIFF can keep one decoder thread executing for an attacker-controlled duration. This report does not claim worker-pool exhaustion. This issue is fixed in version 4.1.2.
CVE-2026-115774 1 Twisted 1 Twisted 2026-10-23 4.9 Medium
Twisted is an event-based framework for internet applications, supporting Python 3.6+. Prior to 26.10.0rc1, twisted.mail.imap4.IMAP4Server reaches twisted.mail.imap4.parseNestedParens with a negative literal size in an authenticated SEARCH command after the client enters the selected mailbox state. The negative size moves the parser cursor below zero, and Python's negative indexing prevents the synchronous scanning loop from terminating. The loop freezes the single-threaded reactor, stopping other IMAP connections and any SMTP or POP3 services hosted in the same process until restart. This issue is fixed in version 26.10.0rc1.
CVE-2026-98894 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-23 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/ras: reset CPER ring on corrupt entry size When CPER ring overflow handling advances the read pointer, it trusts the parsed entry size from the current ring contents. Corrupt CPER data can produce an entry size that does not advance rptr after dword conversion and pointer masking. In that case the recovery loop keeps testing the same location while holding the CPER ring mutex. This can hang the worker that is writing the next CPER record. Detect a no-progress rptr update and reset the CPER ring to an empty state instead. This drops the corrupt contents and lets the writer leave the recovery path without spinning.
CVE-2026-112390 2 Python, Python-pillow 2 Pillow, Pillow 2026-10-23 7.5 High
Pillow is a Python imaging library. From 7.2.0 until 13.0.0, Pillow can enter an infinite loop while determining the frame count of a MIC image. MicImageFile inherits TIFF frame traversal, but MicImageFile.tell reports the OLE stream index and its seek() resets TIFF frame state, so an embedded TIFF with at least three IFDs never advances. When an application with olefile installed reads n_frames or saves all frames from a crafted MIC file, the non-advancing traversal can hold a worker at full CPU indefinitely. This issue is fixed in version 13.0.0.
CVE-2026-112391 2 Python, Python-pillow 2 Pillow, Pillow 2026-10-23 7.5 High
Pillow is a Python imaging library. From 5.1.0 until 13.0.0, Pillow's PdfParser.get_value() can recurse without a limit while reading nested PDF objects. The parser follows attacker-controlled arrays and dictionaries when an existing PDF is opened for append. An attacker can provide a deeply nested PDF to an application that saves an image with PDF append enabled. This can raise an uncaught RecursionError or terminate the worker, causing denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 13.0.0.
CVE-2026-96596 2 Erlang, Hexpm 5 Erlang/otp, Erlang\/otp, Rebar3 and 2 more 2026-10-23 5.5 Medium
Loop with Unreachable Exit Condition ('Infinite Loop') vulnerability in Erlang OTP stdlib (erl_tar module), hexpm hex_core (hex_erl_tar module), hexpm hex (mix_hex_erl_tar module) and erlang rebar3 (r3_hex_erl_tar module) allows an attacker who supplies a tar archive to cause a denial of service via a crafted GNU sparse member. When erl_tar:extract/1,2 writes a member to disk, erl_tar:stream_to_file_loop/3 reads it in chunks of 65536 bytes by default. For a GNU sparse member whose sparse map ends before its real size, erl_tar:do_sparse_read/3 matches its trailing-hole clause before its zero-length clause. After the chunk is used up, the trailing-hole clause reads zero bytes, does not advance the position, and recurses forever. A 2048-byte archive keeps the extracting process and one scheduler busy until the process is killed. The {max_size, N} option prevents this only when N is below the real size of the member. Extraction with the memory option is not affected. hex_core ships its own copy of erl_tar as hex_erl_tar, and Hex and rebar3 ship hex_core with prefixed module names (mix_hex_erl_tar and r3_hex_erl_tar). These copies contain the same code and do not call stdlib's erl_tar, so they are affected on any OTP version. OTP 28 is not affected, but an application running on OTP 28 is affected if it extracts archives through an affected version of hex_core, Hex or rebar3. This issue affects OTP from OTPĀ 29.0 before OTPĀ 29.1.2, corresponding to rebar3 from 3.27.1 before 3.28.0, and stdlib from 8.0 before 8.1.1, and hex from 2.4.2 before 2.5.3; hex_core: from 0.14.0 before 0.20.1.
CVE-2026-100354 1 Getkin 1 Kin-openapi 2026-10-23 7.5 High
kin-openapi is a Go project for handling OpenAPI files. Prior to 0.149.0, runtime request, response, and direct schema validation lacks cycle detection when an allOf, anyOf, or oneOf chain refers back to an ancestor schema, even though loading and document validation accept the circular reference. A request or response that reaches the affected schema causes unbounded recursion in Schema.visitJSON or openapi3filter.decodeValue and exhausts the Go goroutine stack. The resulting fatal stack overflow cannot be caught with recover and terminates the entire process, including unrelated requests. This issue is fixed in version 0.149.0.
CVE-2026-66281 1 Silicon Labs 1 Emberznet 2026-10-23 N/A
In EmberZNet 9.1.1 and earlier, a malformed Discover Attributes command can result in a loop with unreachable exit condition (infinite loop). These messages must come from a device that has already joined the network. Only devices supporting manufacturer-specific clusters are impacted.

CVE-2026-6554 1 Tcpdump 1 Libpcap 2026-10-23 7.5 High
libpcap BPF interpreter treats the offset in the 'ja L' BPF instruction as a signed integer to implement looping via backward jumps, but it does not limit the number of loop iterations. A crafted filter program or the 'protochain' primitive used on a crafted network packet can cause the interpreter to loop infinitely.
CVE-2026-76445 1 Cisco 4 Cisco Open Source Snort3, Cisco Secure Firewall Threat Defense (ftd) Software, Cisco Utd Snort Ips Engine Software and 1 more 2026-10-23 5.3 Medium
Multiple Cisco products are affected by a vulnerability in the Snort 3 Detection Engine that could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause the detection engine to unexpectedly restart, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition. The vulnerability is due to a flaw in logic handling when General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) Tunneling Protocol (GTP) extension headers are processed within the codec. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted, fragmented UDP datagram that contains these headers to the Snort 3 Detection Engine of an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the detection engine to enter an infinite loop, resulting in a DoS condition.
CVE-2026-98489 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-22 6.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: atl1c: fix soft lockup on out-of-range tpd_cons read The hardware can report an out-of-range tpd_cons (seen as 0xffff) while the PCIe link/MAC is resetting. An out-of-range value can never be reached and the loop below would spin forever. To avoid a soft lockup treat it as "nothing new to clean" instead.
